EMU-PDRAM is the first center among Universities in North Cyprus to offer psychological counseling and guidance services. The Center was founded on November 4th, 1997 and approved by the University Board as a unit working in direct association with the Rector's Office.
The aim of EMU-PDRAM is to help EMU students with their search for understanding and developing an awareness of their social, academic, and cognitive potentials. As a result of this understanding, students will become responsible individuals who will be able to share with and care about others no matter how culturally different these others may be, and accept them for who they are. Also they will be helped to have free choices and to carry the responsibilities of these choices. With the support of the Center, students, hopefully, will become mature individuals capable of leading a productive and successful life during their higher education and after graduation.
• Confidentiality: The information received will not be disclosed to anybody or to any institution, without the student's consent. Only in extreme circumstances whereby the student exhibits behavior that is dangerous to his/her well-being, or others, may confidentiality be broken.
• Objectivity: EMU-PDRAM offers services regardless of language, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender and sexual orientation.
